For the fourth consecutive year, the obligation to have equipment suitable for driving in winter has been implemented. It is therefore obligatory to equip your vehicle with winter tires or to have anti-slip devices, in certain municipalities in mountainous areas.
WHAT VEHICLES ARE CONCERNED?
From November 1, 2024, 3PMSF tires will be compulsory in the areas affected by the measure. The purchase and use of other “snow tires” will remain possible , but in this case users will also have to have chains to travel.
IN WHICH DEPARTMENTS AND OVER WHAT PERIOD DOES THIS MEASURE APPLY?
34 departments are subject to the obligation which applies from November 1 to March 31 of each year.
